BIOGRAPHY
Brittany Knowles-Harris is a courageous advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. As a nationally recognized DEI curriculum creator, facilitator, and consultant she has worked extensively with corporate, non-profit and academic entities. Since 2009, she has worked on a number of initiatives to further diversity, inclusion, and equity, create programs to support underserved populations and develop culturally competent policies. She leads Project CLASS and K.I.N.G.S a mentoring program to address achievement gaps of BIPOC individuals. She serves as the Co-Chair of Safe Space and Ally Development and is the co-creator and current consultant for the first
Diversity Certification at Florida State College at Jacksonville for Faculty and Staff. The Diversity Certification program received national recognition as a finalist for Advancing Diversity by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) in 2020.
Brittany is a prolific speaker and has presented over 100 workshops/speeches on topics such as Sustaining Diverse Populations, Microaggressions, Implicit Bias, and Being Educated About Diversity (BEAD). Brittany’s “conversations” are an amalgamation of knowledge, passion, and authenticity combining to create a transformative environment and brave spaces for dialogue.
