DR. BELAY REDDICK
American author, black male advocate and former federal prisoner.
biography
Dr. Belay Reddick is a minister, social justice activist, trainer, coach, author, and an ex-offender, having served nearly two decades in federal prison for a nonviolent offense. Often labeled the "poster child" for the three Rs: rehabilitation, redemption and reentry, he has become one of the most inspirational speakers in the country. His remarkable story has inspired thousands and worth replicating many more times.
In 2019, Dr. Reddick, while in prison, wrote a letter to FedEx World Headquarters, which ended up on founder and chairman Fred Smith's desk. In 2020, he eventually had the opportunity to meet with top executives from the company at the Forrest City federal prison in Arkansas, where he was housed. Four months later, Dr. Reddick went from ex-fed to FedEx.
Today, he provides young men at risk of becoming disengaged from school and are at most risk of harm interactive learning opportunities where they can engage in a positive and safe space.
When you book Dr. Reddick, don't expect a webinar. Expect a powerful experience.
"Black boys need an outlet to express their feelings in a safe space that affirms their identity. Interactive Journal of Mentoring and Coaching Values in the Classroom is a great tool for black male mentors to help provide black youth with a renewed sense of value that positively impacts their personality and actions."
